The founder story
Why a registered patent attorney wrote toddler books about ideas. Two decades around inventors taught Chris that the spark is lit before kindergarten; he co-founded a preschool and wrote the curriculum he wished existed.
Idea literacy
Schools teach reading and counting. Nobody teaches children that ideas come from people, that copying and inspiration are different, and that "I made that!" is a milestone worth celebrating. This series names the gap and fills it.
The copycat book
Book 13, Kit and the Copycat, is a patent attorney explaining infringement to 2-4-year-olds without ever using the word. Teachers tell us it defuses the most common playroom conflict there is.
STEM starts at 2
No screens, no kits, no prep. The series argues, and early-childhood research supports, that toddler STEM is a posture, not a subject: noticing, tinkering, persisting.
The promise page
The final book ends with the reader, not the character: kids raise a crayon and promise out loud to never stop wondering. Families report it becomes a ritual.

Long bio
Chris Kuczynski has spent his legal career with inventors: engineers, founders, artists, and tinkerers, helping them protect the ideas they bring into the world. Along the way he heard the same origin story again and again. Every inventor was once the kid who took things apart, asked one more question, and rebuilt the tower after it fell.
As a co-founder of The Gratitude Garden Preschool, a nature-based, STEM-focused preschool in San Clemente, California, he watched those exact habits forming, live, in children ages 2 to 4. Kit's Little Sparks is the bridge between his two worlds: twenty STEM books that follow a young inventor named Kit through noticing, building, failing, fixing, naming, sharing, and finally handing the spark to the reader.
Chris writes under the byline Chris Kuczynski, A Registered Patent Attorney, because the credential is the point: the person teaching toddlers about ideas is the person inventors trust with theirs.
