The best inventions make someone's heart feel full.

Kit wants to make something special. Not for himself. For Grandma Rosa. Sparks introduces Ama, a girl with cornrow braids and a basket overflowing with colorful African print fabrics who knows how to make gifts look as special as they are.

Together, Kit and Ama get to work. Kit carefully paints tiny flowers on a Steady Sippy, because Grandma loves flowers. Ama teaches Kit to wrap it in beautiful fabric, tying it with a careful bow. "A gift should look as special as it IS."

Kit gives it to Grandma. She unwraps the fabric. She discovers the painted cup. Her hand goes to her heart. Her eyes get shiny. "You MADE this? For ME?" Kit nods. His heart feels so warm. Grandma hugs Kit tight, and the two of them share the most loving moment in the series.

Ama says it plainly: making something for someone you love feels even better than making it for yourself. The best inventions do not just work. They make someone feel loved.
