Can I use your invention? The scariest question an inventor can hear.

Zara runs a neighborhood lemonade stand, but her customers' cups keep tipping over. She asks Kit if he can invent something to help. Kit wants to say yes, but something feels funny. What if sharing means losing it?

Sparks says Zara knows how to share the KIND way. And Zara's deal is simple: she will use Kit's new invention, the Steady Cubby, at her stand and tell every single customer that Kit invented it. In return, she will share her lemonade with Kit. They shake hands. It is a DEAL.

Kit watches as Zara puts the Steady Cubby to work. No more tippy cups. "Kit invented this!" she tells every customer. Customers smile. Zara smiles. Kit smiles biggest of all. His invention is helping more people now, and that feels amazing. Sharing did not take anything away. It made everything bigger.

This is the second book in the Sharing phase (Books 9 through 12). Kit is discovering that his creation can do more good in the world when he lets it out of the garage. In intellectual property, this is the seed of licensing: sharing what you have made so it can reach more people.
