Kit's latest invention works beautifully, but nobody knows its name. Without a name, it is just a thing on a table. Sparks introduces Priya, a bubbly girl from a restaurant family who experiences words the way other people experience food. She tastes them.

"The Solid Idea Maker? Hmm... that sounds CRUNCHY." Priya scrunches her face and makes a cracking sound. "The Ding Dong Idea Maker? Ooh... that sounds BOUNCY!" Priya bounces across the room. "The Crispy Spicy Idea Maker? Mmm... that sounds SMOOTH." Priya melts with delight.

Kit tries each name out loud. Fast, slow, loud, soft, silly. And one of them clicks. "THE Crispy Spicy Idea Maker!" It fits. It tastes right. Now everyone knows what to call it, and suddenly the invention feels real in a way it did not before. A name gives an invention identity.
