Becoming

Phase 5 of Kit's Little Sparks. The closing four books in the series, for ages 4. Books 17 through 20 are about identity: showing your work to the world, seeing inventors who look like you in history, teaching another inventor what you know, and committing to the Inventor's Promise that closes the series.

Book 17 is public speaking for the smallest inventors, show and tell as a brave act. Book 18 introduces real historical inventors, especially ones who look like the reader, with the message: "inventors look like everyone." Book 19 is the mentoring book, Kit teaches Lily what he knows, and discovers teaching is its own kind of making. Book 20 is the capstone: Kit's Promise: I Will Never Stop Wondering.
